Ritual News

The progression of the new album - and some more news:

Today we had a really good and rewarding session in our rehearsal room. For quite some time now we have been working really hard and meticulously with the musical and narrative dramaturgy of the final episodes of the story. Together, these three episodes or “songs” makes up about 20 minutes of music, spanning from gentle and eerie-atmospheric to thrilling action and tremendous commotion (and almost everything in between). It is an effort of some magnitude weaving it all together, but I think we really made a break through today.

So we are not resting on our progressive asses. We are dead set on bringing Mr. Bogd back home alive and sane (and to put this quest to music). It’s a dangerous journey, but someone has to make it.

More Ritual news!:

Legendary progressive band Kaipa is back with their 10th studio album, called "In the wake of evolution”. As usual it features the eminent vocals of Patrik Lundström (Patrik sings on all Kaipa albums since Notes From The Past). And once again Ritual’s Fredrik Lindqvist participates as a guest musician, playing recorders and whistles on a couple of songs (just as he did on Kaipa’s 2007 release Angling Feelings).

Even more Ritual news:

If you want to hear more of Patrik’s powerful voice - and also see him in action! - you can check out the popular Swedish TV-show “Så ska det låta” (aired on April 2 2010). “Så ska det låta” is a music game show (based on the irish The Lyrics Board). In each episode there are two teams. Each team consists of a piano player/team captain who is joined by two celebrities/singers, at either side. Watch the show here! Patrik rocks! Enjoy!
